The proceedings from the Edutainment 2009 conference have just been published (thanks Dani for the link). Sadly these are not open access, but the abstracts and author contact details are available.

I’ve just finished reading Mr Toppit, by Charles Elton. The plot centres around the family of an author, who wrote a set of children’s books in the 1980s (The Hayseed Chronicles). While this a pretty good holiday-reading-type novel, what really impressed me is the online backstory that they have created through a blog about the original books, flickr photostream, and real-life artifacts.
