Projects

Some of the research projects that I have been (or currently am) involved in are as follows.

Neuroscience-Informed Approaches to Science Education (Sci-napse)

This EEF/Wellcome Trust funded project aims to evaluate whether the use of uncertain reward can raise attainment for students studying science, in particular disadvantaged learners. Exploring Learner Disengagement

This project aims to provide insights into why undergraduates chose not to engage with learning opportunities.

Making Games in Collaboration for Learning (MAGICAL)

This EU-funded project explored the impact of collaborative game design on the development of 21st-century skills for secondary school pupils.

Game-Based Learning for Older Adults (gambaloa)

This EU-funded network explored good practice and research in the potential of game-based learning to improve well-being, health and learning.

Alternate Reality Games for Orientation, Socialisation and Induction (ARGOSI)

ARGOSI was a JISC-funded project that aimed to investigate the potential of alternate reality games for supporting student induction and information literacy.
