Here&#8217;s a selection of some of my favourite articles over the past six (or so) months, particularly those that discuss principles that are more generally applicable to educational games.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Exploration of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamasutra.com\/view\/feature\/3826\/what_gamers_want_missing_gamers.php?page=1\" target=\"_blank\">what &#8216;missing&#8217; gamers want<\/a> (&#8216;missing&#8217; gamers here being people who used to play games but don&#8217;t any more &#8211; the case for many students in HE).<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamasutra.com\/view\/feature\/3922\/subtitles_increasing_game_.php\" target=\"_blank\">Increasing game accessibility<\/a> and comprehension (including a useful set of guidelines).<\/li>\n<li>Thirteen basic <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamasutra.com\/view\/feature\/3949\/the_13_basic_principles_of_.php\" target=\"_blank\">principles of gameplay design<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>A discussion on game story design by considering <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamasutra.com\/view\/feature\/4061\/dramatic_play.php\" target=\"_blank\">narrative through the ages<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m a big fan of the Gamasutra site, and have posted sever links on this blog previously.
